When donating food, please contribute pre-packaged, non-perishable items. Single-serving sizes are best and reduced sugar items are preferred. Just think healthy. All items must be in factory-sealed boxes, cups, or cans. Make sure you check the expiration date of each item you’re donating.
Below are a few suggestions. And please, do not use this as an opportunity to clean out your pantry or get rid of unwanted or expired items. If you don’t want it, the kids probably don’t either.
For safety reasons, absolutely NO glass containers are allowed.
Honey Nut Cheerios
Rice Krispies Cereal
Instant Oatmeal Packets
Mac & Cheese
Spaghetti & Meatballs
Cracker and Cheese Packs
Rise Krispies Treats
JIF to Go Snacks
Cash donations are also welcome. In fact, for every $1 you donate, the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank can provide a child with four healthy meals. For more information, please visit our Donate Cash page.
